Today we continued the lesson on the GOTS, aka gifts of the spirit. The Bible is full of stories and examples of the power of God moving through man with the GOTS.
Here are the categories for them:
Power Gifts
1. Faith
2. Healing
3. Miracles
Vocal Gifts
1. Prophecy
2. Tongues
3. Interpretation of tongues
Revelation Gifts
1. Word of wisdom
2. Word of knowledge
3. Discerning of spirits
All of these gifts can be found in 1 Cor. 12. Study them, desire them, and do them in faith. The more we desire the gifts of God, the more we will be used by Him.
I was not here for today's class, but I have gotten alot out of these classes. God surely has alot of wonderful spiritual gifts for us. I can't wait for VBS. I also cant wait for my part as Jesus. and I really enjoyed Mike Rosas last night. and God bless pastor Cat and Devin.
ReplyDeleteYou can catch up on what you missed by reading the blogs from GOTS teachings and by reading 1 Cor. 12. I'm so glad you've been able to attend Discipleship this year. My prayer is that what you learn will stick with you forever and get stronger on your heart the more you study and pray.

ReplyDeletetoday we learned about the rest of the gifts of the spirit and there categories:
ReplyDeleteVoice:
tongues- god praying through you
interpretation of tongues-interpreting a message in tongues into your language (through God)
prophecy- prophesying what is going to happen is someones life
Power:
faith- believing it will happen even when you cant see it
healing- pray for someone and they get better over time
working of miracles- praying and they get better immediately, right then and there
Revelation:
word of knowledge- spiritually knowing about something (God told you) that you could NOT have known about otherwise
word of wisdom-
discerning of spirits-spiritually knowing whether someone is under the influence of God or is under the influence of a demon or a spirit by the way the act or God gives you a feeling on the inside about it also it can help you know if they are really giving you a message from God or not
We learned ho to access them in our life and how to make them stronger and recieve more, and it is VERY true that we GOTS to have them they are very important for a Christian life

you access them by readin the word about them and exercising/ practicing them, if you have the gift of healing you cant sit around and watching people die you have to put your gift to action
Deletealso you can get more gifts by:
a.) practicing and exercising the ones you already have and making them STRONGER
b.) praying and readint the word on the ones you want to have (strive for the better gifts)
c.) exercise them when you recieve them but KEEP excersing the ones you had to begin with, after all you have to be grateful
