Once we identify with God by being baptized it is now time to live it strong. It takes guts to identify with God and follow through with it every day. The devil presents all kinds of options that can distract and deceive us. We have to be wise to his attempts and cast them down. Use these scriptures to combat the enemy:
- 2 Corinthians 10:5 - Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
- Sometimes the devil attacks in our thoughts. Choose to think on the Word.
- Never allow your imagination to run wild with negative thinking. Dream big about what God has planned for you; dream about answers.
- 1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking who he may devour:
- The devil can't trap you if you stay aware. You have power over him in the name of Jesus.
- Remember, it's the devil who tries to trip you up, not God. God brings the answers.
- 1 John 2:2 - But ye have an unction from the holy one, and ye know all things.
- God speaks to His children. "Unction" means a knowing in your heart. When God speaks, you will know.
- God will give you clarity on situations when you consult him in prayer.
- Galatians 5:1 - Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
- Jesus has set us free! We have salvation, and we have identified with Him in water baptism so live like a child of God.
- Don't get tied up in sin, guilt, problems, etc. Walk free and replace old lifestyle habits with Godly characteristics since you have identified with Christ.
Every day we put on Christ we have the opportunity for success. Water baptism is a single act of obedience to the Bible that shows the world we belong to Him, just like salvation is a single prayer and confession of Jesus. The best part is that we get to live it everyday. So make a choice to be daily identifier with Christ and thank Him for the successes that come.

Today I learned alot about water baptising, and how being baptized is like shedding off your old clothes ( sin ) and putting on new clothes. I also learned that not being baptised doesnt mean you wont go to Heaven, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get baptised. Getting baptised is another way of getting closer to God. Todays awesome and very moving, I am now ready to be baptised. Here's a scripture on baptism, And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptised and wash your sins away, calling on his name. Acts 22:16 from the NIV Bible.

ReplyDeleteActs 22:16 says that if your baptised all your sins are washed away. They are, all is forgiven, and if you sin in the future, pray over your mistakes and ask for forgivness. You call on the name of the Lord by being baptised.
It is a nessisary part of our spiritual foundation to be baptized, its ok if your not yet, you still can, but just because your not baptised does not mean you wont go to Heaven, your just missing out on everything Jesus has for you. When you are baptized, the bondage of all sin is gone, or broken, no longer exsits, all if forgiven.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in he name of Jesus Christs for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost says Acts 2:38, when Peter was saved. When he was saved he was able to save others.
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ Were Baptized into his Death? says Romans 6:3. Jesus Christ is what we are baptized into, we Repent in his death.
Galatians 3:27 says For as many of you have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. When you are baptized PLEASE WEAR CHRIST OR ATLEAST ANYTHING, WE DONT WANTTO SEE YOU NUDE IN CHRIST!!! Anyway, remember, the characters of Christ are love, not judgy, forgiving, faithful, wonderful, and Holy. Try to wear anything in those lines, wear your stripes that show your healed in the name of the lord.

Gal 3:27:
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
1. Water baptism; Its a necessary foundation of your life.
Water baptism cleanses you spiritually of your sins, cleanses your skin in a spiritual way.
2. It breaks the bondage of sin.
What if you were in the desert for a month stranded? You might not live that long! Well, supposed you got rescued, your clothes would be dirty and torn! When you wash up, and get clean clothes on, you feel much better. That is just like when being saved and baptized.
3. We identify with Jesus in his death, burial, and rising.
They did not just think "We'll just dip them in with our hands and lift them up!" Even if it sounds legit. Think of it this way, "When being lowered into the water its representing his death, when submerged it represents him being buried. His rising is when your lifted out of the water :)
4. Our own nature is crucified with Him.
The day was already going to happen, the day when we give our lives. All of those sins were with Him we he was crucified.
5. Our new nature comes forth.
I do not think this needs more explaining. :P
Our new selves, they stay and spread like a disease, but the disease brings life. If we stick to the word, we live forever.

Today's discipleship was awesome as usual, we talked about water baptism, worked on our sermons, and made a Like My Look video. Solomon preached today, he did a good job too. He gave us Points on water baptism to help us understand how important it is for our Spiritual Foundation and for our Relationship with God. He started out with a scripture on Water Baptism that talks about the urgency and importance of getting water baptized, but dont just get baptized because you have to make sure you do it in God's timing. The scripture was Acts 22:16 it said Why are you waiting? If you havent gotten baptized do it. and wash away all of your sins. To me that is saying Come on, do what God wants you to do, become a new person get rid of your sins.

1. Is is a neccessary part of our Spiritual Foundation, so it is saying to make your Walk with God even better you NEED to do it to have an even more successful relationship with God.
2.When you get baptized it breaks the bondage of sin in our lives, a scripture to go with that is Acts 2:38-Peter replied, "All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" To me that is saying be Baptized, you will turn away from your sins and it breaks the bondage of sins and they are forgiven and woth that you receive the Holy Spirit, that is how I tiew that scripture to Point#2
3.We identify with Christ in his death, burial, and rising. Ths pont had a scripture attached to it, too. Romans 6:3-All of us were baptized into Christ Jesus. Dont you know that we were baptized into his death? This ties in to Point#3 becasue it says we baptixed into Christ and into his death so if you are put into something you identify with it, so if we can identify with his death then we can also identify with his burial and rising.
4. Our nature is crucified with him. To me this is saying our OLD sinful nature dies as a sin on the Cross with Jesus, so we crucify our old sins with Jesus on the Cross.
5. Our new nature comes forth.Galations 3:27-All of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ like he were your clothes
-your lively hood isnt finisheed until you get water baptized
-you shed off your sinful clothes and put on your Jesus clothes; you go from ratchet to looking like Jesus.To me this is saying our new Christ filled nature comes forth and shows so our Look will be a new Christ filled nature. You become more alive and aware with Sprirtual things when you get Water Baptized and that can REALLY help you in your Walk with God. You take off your sinful clothes and put on your Jesus clothes so that your Lookwill have Jesus written ALL over it ALL the time. The scripture shows proof that when you get baptized Jesus becomes part of your daily routine to getting ready in the morning because you CANNOT go through the day naked so that means you CANNOT go through your day naked in the Spirit because then you are more vulnerable for Spiritual attacks and temptations
After the message we worked on our sermons, made a video, and said scriptures for the Water Balloon Fight.Today I learned a few new scriptures:
Proverbs 17:17- a friend loves all the time
1 Chorinthians 13:8- Love never fails
1 John 4:8- Whoever does not love does not know God, because God IS love
John 15:13- Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down ones life for his friends
1 John 14:19- we love because he first loved us
1 Thessalonians 5:17- pray without (seasoning.... I mean) ceasing

ReplyDeleteWater Baptizm is a sign of obidence . which means that youre showing the world that you love and walk God. When i was Baptized it felt likeall my sins and all the bad thingg that had happened in my life she washed away. The devil will try to bring you down to his level but getting baptized will give you ANOTHER level ahead of him and closer to God -jaelyn
ReplyDeleteI learned that water baptism is a gateway to a better life and is a commitment to the lord.I also realized that I'm not ready for that commitment but that I have to become stronger on my own so I can do my part in living for God.
