Discipleship: praise is an elevator

Psalms 22:3 says that God inhabits the praises of His people. He desires our praise and dwells there. It return that praise elevates us into God's presence.

Praise and worship is a lifestyle. It's not just about singing a song. Everything about our lives is a worship to God: words, songs, actions, relationships, etc. Our lifestyles should worship God in all that we do. When we take the elevator to the top into His presence we can live in the penthouse, so to speak, of a Godly life. That means that we don't have to leave His presence. We can stay in it. Psalms 91 says that we can "dwell in the secret place of the Most High." Let's make a choice to live in God's presence.

  1. Our first few minutes of our class was those who were to preach on Friday that missed it, all of them did an excellent job, and although all of us fidget, we will learn one day.
Our real preacher was Jacob over praise and worship, he gave many points and gave us some excellent information on everything. Praise and worship is good for yourself and God, it lifts him higher and builds up your relationship with him. Psalms 100:4 says ' Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name. '. Every time we are in the present of God we should praise him, it is the best thing to know. It shouldnt matter what you do, just as long as you praise God. Acts 16:23-26 talks about Paul and Silas who prayed in times of need and praised and worshiped and people looked at them weird. They praised with their all, meaning they had a brelationship with God. They looked at them and wanted the same as we do now. Praise and worship can elevate you into Gods power. God inhabits the praise of his presents. Worship if you have a connection with God will stur you up. Your either praising him or your not, just as you live for him or you dont. God gives us gifts and skills and with them we can praise him. God gives you many oppertunities, get involved as much as you can with them. Do what you have a chance to.
For the last few minutes of the class, he let us praise and worship ourselves and if i must say Devon missed out an an incredible praise day!

  2. It looks like you learned a lot about praise and worship. This is such an important element of the Christian life. P/W is about elevating Him in our lives so He can elevate us.

Worship implies complete submission to God. We are open to what He wants to do in us. Let worship become who you and not what you do. When you do this it opens a whole new world to your walk with God.

  3. We learned about praise and worship and how it helps you get closer to God, then we started a writing a song, and finsihed it off with an AMAZing praise and worship time after everything was finished. We learned that when we praise and worship people will see it then they will want it too then you can lead the to God. We also learned hat whenever your in the presence of God you should praise and worship, it makes you stronger in the spirit also, to me, God deserves that I men he does EVERYTHING for us, the least we could do is praise and worship like he deserves (other than tithe and offer). Jacob did an amazing job and so did the other people preaching their sermons. We should want to praise and worship, it helps us build our relationship with him and his presence fills the room wherever it is wanted and if you are praisng and orshipping then you want his presence to mix iun with that, so he can work inside of you.
